The Hanes 4980 Perfect-T T-Shirt is a modern-fit cotton blank built around printability and everyday comfort. Its 4.5 oz./yd2 ring-spun cotton construction—using sustainably sourced US grown cotton milled to 30 singles—produces a softer, smoother hand than open-end spun yarns. Hanes' Clean Canvas Technology prepares the fabric surface for superior screen printing and DTG results by removing surface waxes and oils that interfere with ink adhesion.
The cut is a modern fit with a set-in narrower ribbed collar, double-needle hem and sleeves, and shoulder-to-shoulder taping for shape retention. A tear-away label keeps the neckline print-ready, and pre-shrinking reduces size variation after the first wash.
Color-specific fiber content varies: Ash and Marbled are 99/1 cotton/polyester; Light Steel is 90/10; CVC and heather colors are 60/40. Solid colors are 100% ring-spun cotton. Fiber content may vary by color. Available S through 5XL. OEKO-TEX and FLA certified.
