The North End 78034 Women's 3-Layer Fleece Performance Soft Shell Jacket is a technical three-layer soft shell built on an 8 oz./yd² 97/3 polyester/spandex outer face bonded to a 100% polyester fleece interior layer with an inner membrane between them. The three-layer construction delivers a 10,000 mm waterproof rating and 800 g breathability rating — manufacturer-stated performance specifications that position this jacket for active use in genuinely wet conditions.
The fleece backing provides warmth while the waterproof membrane blocks moisture entry, and the stretch-capable 97/3 polyester/spandex outer face allows freedom of movement during physical activity. The UTK 1 temperature range (43°F to 13°F / 6°C to -11°C) is the manufacturer's stated comfort range for this construction. Polyester tricot lining in the sleeves provides smooth arm movement.
Additional construction details include a fleece chin guard for comfort at the collar, seamless shoulder construction, lower front contrast reversed coil zippered pockets with pocket garages for a clean zipper-end finish, a left sleeve vertical reversed coil zipper pocket, and a thermal retention shock cord at the hem.
