The Berne Apparel JC613 Men's Heartland Washed Duck Zip-Off Hooded Coat uses 12 oz. 100% cotton sanded duck with a heavyweight fleece body lining and medium-weight insulation quilted to polyester taffeta in the sleeves. The defining feature of the JC613 is the zip-off hood — the three-piece lined hood is attached via a zipper, allowing it to be completely removed for a collar-only configuration when overhead coverage is not needed. This versatility in a single coat replaces the need for both a hooded and non-hooded work coat.
Hidden knit storm cuffs block wind at the wrist. An extended back prevents lower back exposure during bending. Side adjustment tabs allow a custom waist fit. A heavy-duty brass front zipper with reinforced elbows provides durability. The storage system is extensive: three inside pockets (left with zipper), four snap-close pockets, and four additional front pockets — providing up to eleven pocket locations for tool and material organization.
