The Berne Apparel HJ51 Men's Heritage Hooded Jacket is one of Berne's foundational insulated work jackets, built from 10 oz. heavy-duty 100% cotton duck with a water-repellent finish. Compared to the 12 oz. washed duck of the HJ375, the HJ51 uses an unwashed 10 oz. cotton duck that is heavier in hand but narrower in weight, with similar insulation levels. The body is lined with heavyweight insulation quilted to polyester brushed tricot; sleeves use medium-weight insulation quilted to polyester taffeta. This jacket is manufactured in a LEED-certified factory.
Water-repellent finish provides protection against light precipitation. A three-piece insulated hood with drawstring provides head coverage, with knit storm cuffs at the wrist and a knit waistband retaining heat. Pleated elbows and a pleated action back allow full range of motion. Heavy-duty brass front zipper and triple-needle stitched main seams provide construction durability. Two front patch pockets and three inside pockets provide storage.
