The MERET MBAP912 M4L Ballistic Armor 9×12 Panel is a semi-rigid ballistic armor panel engineered to provide discreet, lightweight Level IIIA protection against common handgun threats when inserted into compatible MERET backpacks or other pack systems. At just 0.87 lb and 0.24 inches thick, the panel is designed to add meaningful protection without significantly affecting pack weight or pack volume during normal daily use.

The panel is certified to NIJ Standard 0108.01 for Level IIIA threat protection, defending against 9mm Luger 124gr FMJ and .44 Magnum 240gr Lead SWC GC standard-threat rounds. Special threat testing adds protection against Federal 9mm Luger 124gr Hydra-Shok JHP, Federal .40 S&W 165gr Hydra-Shok JHP, and Federal .45 AUTO +P 200gr GDHP—covering the most commonly encountered handgun ammunition in civilian and law enforcement use.

Designed for discreet placement in the rear pocket of MERET backpack systems, the panel positions to defend the vital chest region when the pack is worn on the back—and can also be positioned across the front of the body for forward-facing protection when the threat is frontal. The 5-year warranty covers material and construction defects from the date of manufacture.
