Because the yarn already contains color from its prior life, the dyeing stage is bypassed entirely, reducing energy consumption by approximately 80%, water by approximately 75%, and chemical use by approximately 90% compared to conventional fleece production. The result is an 8.0 oz. hoodie available in a limited palette of natural, earthy hues that reflect the raw material’s origin rather than conventional dye-house color formulation.
