The Gildan 980 Unisex Softstyle® Lightweight T-Shirt is Gildan’s EZ Print™ tee — a 4.5 oz., 100% combed ring-spun cotton tee with a proprietary enzyme biotechnology finish on solid colors that removes loose surface cotton fibers, creating an exceptionally smooth, lint-free print surface for DTG, screen printing, and heat transfer decoration.
EZ Print™ is a chemical-free process that enzymatically digests the loose surface fibers of the cotton fabric without affecting the underlying yarn structure, producing a surface that feels smoother to the touch and accepts ink more uniformly than untreated cotton. For DTG printing, the smoother surface reduces ink absorption variance and produces more consistent, vibrant color output.
