The shell is 10.5 oz./yd² (355 g/m²) 67% modacrylic/29% cotton/4% polyester flame-resistant fleece, with a 7.0 oz./yd² (240 g/m²) 55% modacrylic/45% cotton waffle-knit lining that adds warmth and boosts the arc rating significantly above the unlined SMH4.
The color-blocked construction pairs a hi-vis yellow upper half with a grey lower half — meeting ANSI Class 3 compliance in the hi-vis zone while the grey lower half conceals dirt and stains during work. 2-inch segmented heat-seal silver reflective striping at the front and back provides 360° visibility. A three-piece hood with drawstring closure provides head coverage. Rib knit cuffs and waistband seal the sleeve ends and hem. A large hand warmer pocket with concealed utility pocket provides storage. iQ Series® Endurance ripstop twill reinforcement on the interior of the sleeves adds durability at high-wear points. NFPA® 2112 compliant. Tall in SMB4T.
