The Berne Apparel SH68 Men's Throttle Hooded Shirt Jacket is the hooded companion to the SH67 Caster, using the same 8 oz. 100% cotton duck shell with medium-weight insulation — but adding a three-piece hood and a dual-closure system. The defining construction differences from the SH67 are: the addition of a three-piece hood for head coverage, and the closure mechanism — the SH68 uses a combination of hook-and-loop front closure and nylon front zipper rather than the SH67's antique nickel snaps.
The hook-and-loop + zipper combination allows the front to be closed with hook-and-loop at the collar for wind-sealing and zippered for the main closure below. Snap sleeve plackets provide sleeve closure. Front on-seam pockets and two chest pockets provide storage. The hooded shirt jacket format is appropriate for workers who want hood capability in a shirt jacket weight garment rather than a full-weight hooded work jacket.
