The Berne Apparel NJ51 Men's Icecap Insulated Hooded Jacket is the hooded jacket in the ICECAP collection — Berne's extreme-condition cold-weather workwear line. Like the NB834 bib overall and NCH377 chore coat, the NJ51 uses a 1,000 denier nylon shell rather than the cotton duck of the standard HJ51 or HJ375. The nylon shell is waterproof, wind-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, appropriate for sub-zero outdoor work environments where moisture and abrasion protection are required in addition to insulation.
Arctic-weight insulation quilted to taffeta is used throughout the body, providing the maximum warmth level available in the Berne lineup. Pleated elbows and a pleated action back allow range of motion. Triple-needle stitched main seams reinforce the construction. Two front insulated patch pockets and three inside pockets provide storage.
