The Berne Apparel NB834 Men's Icecap Insulated Bib Overall is part of the ICECAP collection — Berne's most extreme-condition cold-weather workwear line. The shell is 1,000 denier nylon oxford — a heavy-weight, abrasion-resistant nylon fabric that is fundamentally different from the cotton duck used in the B415 and B377 series. The nylon shell is waterproof, wind-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, appropriate for sub-zero outdoor environments where precipitation and abrasion resistance are required.
The lining is arctic-weight insulation quilted to polyester taffeta — the maximum insulation level in the Berne lineup. An insulated high-back design extends insulation to the full upper bib area for thorough back and lumbar warmth. A two-way brass front zipper and full-length brass leg zippers (with outside storm flaps) allow boot access and dressing. Triple-needle stitched main seams, double inside chest pockets, zippered chest and hip pockets, side utility pockets, hammer loop, and adjustable elasticized straps round out a comprehensive feature set.
